In general, 1.9 lb. closed cell foam is the best possible option for maximum R-value. 1.9 lb. foam has an R-value of 6.9 per inch. With 3.2 inches of 1.9 SPF inside a wall, you have an R-value of 22.08. That is a very effective insulation value. Fiberglass can’t even come close. This foam also has a permeance rating of 0.80 for one inch. and 0.36 for three  inches. The permeance or perm rating is the ability of water vapor to travel through the insulation. Any rating under 1.0 is considered a vapor barrier. Fiberglass has a perm rating of 7.0 per inch. SPF 1.9 closed cell foam is a very effective vapor barrier.

SPF is sprayed inside your structure where it reaches all the nooks and crannies. Your structure is stronger with rigid foam in the walls, ceiling, and roof deck. As a structural component, rigid foam will actually stiffen the building. Two inches of 1.9 closed cell foam in your wall will double the strength of the wall. 

No other insulation can match SPF for sealing your structure. SPF stops moisture and mold from getting a foothold in your building.
